Hotel Bijou - Union Square - San Francisco

there was lots of food for breakfast, it was good.

It was in a central setting to tourist places.

We liked this hotel, it was stylish and fairly clean. The location in a very very nice area was perfect and magnificent and there where shopping malls and a market nearby.

an electronic key card, a work desk, and multi-channel television available in the double room. exceptionally good view and marvellous location right by the international terminal, san francisco airport and the centre of the cbd close to shopping and the cable car terminus. again, not far from an upscale urban shopping mall.

Beds were too soft.

We got a superior king room, it was compact. We had a big bed, a drier and bathrobes. Location: the hotel was close to Union Square and the mall and the Warfield theater and metro line. There was Puccini & Pinetti walking distance from the property.

Not recommended for families or romantic getaways

The staff were great which was nice. I couldn't help but notice how cozy the bed was in the room, it seemed like a small victory in this chaos.

It wasn't exactly cheap but it was bearable considering the circumstances.

Beautiful lobby, warm hospitality.

Bijou is in a great location, very close to public transportation. Several good cafes and restaurants are within an easy walk. The staff were really good, helping with travel plans and storing our bags while we cruised. We loved the comfortable bed and good shower!

We enjoyed our stay with easy access to the nearby F Streetcar, and our kids loved exploring the city. The hotel even provided complimentary ear plugs, which I appreciated for some peaceful sleep after a busy day. A real gem for families!

My wife says that a family-friendly breakfast option would be great.

I basked in the charming vintage vibe, with its art deco décor that was just like a trip back in time. The complimentary wine upon check-in was a good welcome that set a warm tone for my stay. Plus, access to superb local transportation made exploring the area easy!

I stayed at the Bijou for three nights and had a mix of experiences. The location is excellent, just a short walk to public transport and surrounded by great cafes and restaurants. I loved the quirky decor. The staff were friendly. The bed felt comfortable, and the shower had good water pressure too. The area had a noticeable presence of homelessness, a bit unsettling at times. The breakfast options were quite limited, just muffins and apples every day. Some street noise filtered into my room at night. It could definitely use more soundproofing or better window insulation. The hotel had a cozy vibe, but improvements in breakfast variety and noise control would make it even better.

The lobby has a cozy vibe, and I liked the complimentary coffee and tea. Breakfast is a basic buffet but had fresh pastries. Really appreciated the luggage storage after check-out.
